Architecture ala The Cool Hunter
I often go to thecoolhunter.net to keep up with what's cracking with technology, design, travel and so forth. It's a fantastic site. Anywho, the main thing that gets me oooing and aaahing (apart from the fancy shiny fast cars... ) is the Architecture section. So, I picked a few that caught my eye on reason visits to the site and decided to share them with you lovely people. Complete luxurious and unaffordable, but I'm digressing.. the point is, these designs are incredible, genius really. The first is by a Cape Town based company- SAOTA -- Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects. SAOTA’s interior design and decor division, Antoni Associates completed the interior. This particular property is in Geneva.
This next outrageous property, Casa Son Vida, is on the Balearic Islands off Spain, on the Island of Mallorca. The design and production is a united effort by Luxury residential developer Cosmopolitan Estates, eclectic Dutch designer and founder of Mooi, Marcel Wanders,, and award-winning Los Angeles, Switzerland and Hong Kong-based tecARCHITECTURE.
There is a slight Alice and Wonderland twist which if you've been on my blog before you will know that I love. Plus the clean yet funky lines and juxtaposition of eccentric and detailed with minimalist white is so effective!
Vitra Haus by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron, is an fantastic "set" of buildings all stacked in such a way that is not only architecturally incredible but aesthetically pleasing to say the least.
And finally, Paraty House in Brazil, the work of Marcio Kogan.
Holiday home? *cough cough* I wish.
