{Appreciation Station} Pattern Diary: Renee Roussouw

A friend of mine, Anton Van Den Berg, very kindly sent me a link to his friend's site: designer, Renee Roussouw. She has produced beautiful ceramics, each is unique but they sit beautifully together as a set. They studied architecture together and she went on to complete the RSP Master at the European Design Labs in Madrid under director Jaime Hayon in 2010. She ehibited her work at Design Indaba 2008 and 2011.

"Pattern Diary is the result of a year long investigation into identity, patterns, still lives & compositions. Explored since April 2010 only in Red & Blue. Each Pattern represents an abstract diary entry of my 2010. The collection works as a whole, and each piece can be sold individually. In a room, whether the pieces are placed together as a still-life or dispersed, the bold graphic patterns creates a graphic and visual language that fills the space.'

Here are some examples. To see more, go to her site.
