Black and white layout loving

Ramon Lenherr is a graphic designer in Switzerland. He clearly favours black and white as a look for most of his designs. I stumbled upon one of his layouts and so, along with the re-development of a friend's CI as strictly monochrome, I was inspired to do a series of posts on these two "non colours"  as a theme.
There is something so clean yet intense about using only black and white in design.

In this, Ramon's Jim Jarmusch Cinema Program, he has used typography and layout very effectively to add interest to a page devoid of colour. Each spread uses a similar grid but he has manipulated it to create a strong look. The type is a classic font but used in a bold manner and the lines add further movement, separating and occasionally combining imagery and type.
