This talented young man, Frank Chimero, lives in Portland, Oregon, USA. His statement on his website is:
My fascination with the creative process, curiosity, and visual experience informs all of my work in some way. Each piece is the part of an exploration in finding wit, surprise, honesty, and joy in the world around us, then, trying to document those things with all deliberate speed before they vanish.
I like his attitude. Very much. He also says:
There are no secrets or shortcuts. Work hard.
I'm finding it hard to get motivated at the moment so I enjoyed his series of inspirational design posters. Here are a few of my faves:
And so, I am going to be PASSIONATE and PRODUCTIVE tomorrow! I bought myself a Moleskine today :) My 1st ever. So if that isn't encouragement for the creative soul I don't know what is. Such quality, such association with famous writers... such a nerd I am :)
So tomorrow morning, in celebration of Women's Day, I'm going to sleep until I'm totally rested, get up, stretch, go for a run, take a long hot shower, smile over my cup of coffee and get on with some hard work. I'll leave you with this picture by Kitty Gallannaugh as this is how I plan to feel at the end of tomorrow..
Cool, Calm, Collected and Complete. Happy Women's Day All.
